EcoDriving

EcoDriving includes recommendations for a maximum engine speed of 3,000 rpm and a
maximum of half-throttle (pedal position) when accelerating. The main purpose of these
recommendations is to minimise emissions.

The students spent far more time driving in top gear after receiving instruction than they did before. Gears were missed out during acceleration, reducing the number of gear changes after instruction by 25% compared with the number before.

Some Tips
1. 轻加油，轻刹车，早刹车
在保证汽车正常行驶的前提下适当减小油门幅度，不仅能节省汽油，还能降低车厢内的噪声。在保证安全的条件下提前轻踩刹车同样能省油，因为在相同的行驶路段内，刹车距离的增加就意味着踩油门距离的缩短。

2.可以滑行，但不要放空挡
目前市场上销售的车型绝大多数都是电喷车，电喷车在空挡滑行时发动机系统按照怠速条件喷油，挂挡滑行时分为两种情况：当转速高于怠速时，发动机系统停止喷油，当转速回落到怠速范围后，才按照怠速条件进行喷油，因此电喷车空挡滑行时并不是最省油的状态。所以在条件允许的情况下，多进行一些挂挡滑行。

3.合适的挡位与车速
换挡时机尽量选择在 2500~3000转之间，这样能在保证动力供应的前提下得到比较好的经济性。不要太早或太晚换挡，太早了动力不足；太晚油耗增加。车速可以控制在每小时 70~90公里，这同样是在油耗和速度之间找一个比较好的平衡点，太快了油耗增加，太慢了影响效率。

4.合理使用空调
合理使用空调也能降低油耗。在春天或秋天温度适宜的时候，时速小于60公里时可以开窗通风，而不必开空调，或者只用空调的通风功能，而不用它的制冷功能，这样空调压缩机就不会启动，从而省油。但在时速高于90公里就不建议开窗通风，因为此时的空气阻力很大，开空调反而更省油。

5.路线规划有学问
上路之前规划线路是非常必要的，正确的路线往往能事半功倍，油耗自然也会降低。我们在选择路线时应该遵循以下原则：多环路(高架)、少城路；多右转、少左转；多大路、少小路。在时间和路线上尽量避开堵车的路段，因为堵车时的油耗是相当高的。

6.冬季预热，但时间别太长
冬季早上起来着车时，最好先进行一下预热，这样对于延长和保护发动机的寿命都有好处，但时间不宜过长，只要看到水温表从最低上升到刻度范围内，就可以起步了。

7.重视新车磨合期
磨合期的驾驶方法正确与否，对于日后发动机燃油经济性的影响也是很大的。因此一定要牢记时速不超过80公里、转速不超过4000转等雷打不动的新车磨合期驾驶原则，千万不要破戒。

其他方法

1、买一辆省油的车
买一辆省油的车并不是让大家都去开夏利或者是奥拓，而是说大家在自己认为的价格或车型范围内选择一辆省油的汽车。

精心的保养
按时到服务站去保养是必须的，此外，还要给自己的爱车加一些“小灶”：例如使用品质更好的、更符合爱车要求的润滑油，或者考虑使用一些口碑比较好的燃油添加剂，这虽然在一定程度上会增加费用的支出，但能在油耗和发动机寿命上给车主以回报。

正常的胎压
测试表明：轮胎气压低于正常值时，油耗会明显增加，而高于正常值时，油耗会略有降低，但由于胎压过高会增加爆胎的危险，因此要尽量保持在正常胎压值范围内。另外，由于不同地方的胎压表会有差别，因此车主自己最好准备一块胎压表，以便随时检查。

正常的载荷
车上不要经常装一些平时用不着的东西，例如很多人车上都有运动鞋、网球拍、足球等体育用品，但可能几个月或者半年都用不上一次。类似的物品会增加车的负载，日久天长也会增加无谓的油耗。

Pass the driving Test

I have passed the driving practical test at Ubi for my 1st try.

18 points

1. Need to check the other road users and give correct signal, do check the blind spot.

2. Need to check mirror often to be ware the distance with car behind.

It is really lucky that I did not make big mistake, like striking kerb, in the circuit. Then, I am quite confident when I am driving out.

Though I pass at one time, driving is a very serious task that may decide your and other's lives. So do be careful!!!

学车记 (n+1)

There are some points to be cautious:
1. Change Lan - Before: may need to change gear first; then: move to line; then: add oil. Don't swift the steering hard. Cut into it once one car just pass.
2. Change direction - Left: Near to left, right: near to right, don't let other car cut into it. Check the blind spot.
3. Press accelerate pedal firmly, not one hard one soft, then one hard one soft.
4. U-turn, turn when body pass the kerb.
5. Hold the clutch!!!!

Some points to remember:
1. Must reach 4th Gear at the testing route, and reduce to 3rd gear at first slow sign, and redue to 2nd gear at second slow sign.
2. At turning, remember hand up. E.g. for left turn, turn a bit first, when pass first line, turn 1-2-3.
3. When direction sign shows blink, don't go.
4. For U turn, turn when should pass the kerb. Turn to the second lane. Turn full, and recover quickly (otherwise will go to other lane)
5. Turn left, be careful if there are some people crossing the road, need stop.
6. Must stop at stop line, and need to watch at "give away" sign.


Others, also remember to press the clutch pedal, don't leave it easily only when so confirmed. Change gear smoothly and swiftly. Press the brake softly, remember it is very sensitive.

学车记（2）

Life is not that easy thing; when at difficulties, never give up. When you finanally get it, you will know, all are worthy. SO be brave.

It is the 3rd class with Mr. Lim. I have practiced on the road, often feel humiliating when the car stucks on the road. When the car behind horns, when you are in hurry, you often make mistakes. Well, as a little kid, experience grows up from the mistakes...

1) When releasing the clutch, never release it suddenly, only when it goes smoothly, then release it. Do press the accelerator smoothly and firmly, without giving enough oil, the car will stop.

2) When turn left, signal left, and check the rear mirror.

3) When come to the merging lane, if at right lane, do check the left side mirror to see whether there are other cars join in. (Without checking, -6 marks); if at left lane, need to signal right(if not wrong).

4) You need to use 4th gear, otherwise, immediately fail.

5) Before the junction, change from 4th gear to 3rd gear at 3 roadlight distance, change to 2nd gear at 2 roadlight distance.

6) At approaching the junction, release the acc to have engine break, may need to press break a bit to slow down. Only must stop, then press clutch, press stop.

7) If instructor says turn left, at 1 roadlight distance, signal left, if says turn right, signal immediately.

9) Turn left/right skill: 3 quarter(45 deg), 5 quarter (90 deg), 7 quarter (180 deg).
At turning, don't press accelerator.

10) Turn left, keep left; turn to right, keep right.

学车记（1）

Since passed the BTT and FTT, I and Fish get the Provisional Driving Licence.

And I got my first hour on the road supervised by Mr. Lim.

Panic... nervers... exciting

Here are some procedues at moving off:
1. Adjust the seat (back)
2. Hold the wheel, adjust the seat(back forward), make sure stretching the left foot on the clutch pedal be comfortable
3. Check the free gear
4. Release the clutch pedal
5. Check the rear mirror and side mirror
6. Start engine, turn ignition key to right twice.
7. Wear the seat belt
wait for instruction
8. Press the clutch pedal
9. Press the accerator pedel smoothly, and keep to 1.5 to 2
10. Release the clutch pedel half way, smoothly until the car move, smoothly release the clutch pedal, and increase on accelerator pedal.

Stop:
1. Ready engine break
2. Press clutch pedal
3. Press stop pedal
4. Release clutch pedal

Half Clutch technique is very important, accelerator pedal is sensitive.

2007年就要过去了，大宝就要涨一岁了

回顾2007，很辛苦，当然妈妈最辛苦了，还有奶奶，不过看着大宝这么健康的成长，一切都是值得的

就像奇迹一样，从会坐，会爬，会叫爸爸妈妈，会走，看着他长大真是非常的幸福
